Foreign Pilots

Non-citizens may be eligible for flight training, if they are authorized by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). To start the process:

1. Visit the Flight Training Security Program website
2. Create a new student account
3. Select your flight school
4. Pay the processing fee

After that, wait for instructions from the FTSP. To complete the process, you will submit fingerprints and then wait roughly 7 days for your approval. Once you’ve been approved, you have 180 days to start the program and 365 days to complete it.
