Amy Whelan is a CFI/CFII from the local area. Her journey began at the Lincoln Airport, where she earned her Private Pilot License (PPL) through the EAA Ray Scholarship. She then continued her aviation education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science and a minor in Airline operations. Amy is also passionate about expanding her skillset, with plans to pursue both her Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification and a Dispatch license. Amy is a firm believer in giving back to the aviation community and has spent several summers serving as a CFI counselor at the EAA Air Academy in Oshkosh, WI. Most recently, she completed a professional flight internship with United Airlines, further enhancing her experience in the aviation industry. Amy continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of pilots, blending her technical expertise and passion for teaching.
